Each message can contains in its header optional unique identifier (Message-ID), the mail server can catch by it and delete duplicated messages. Some programs, e.g. Aureate GroupMail, don’t use message identifiers.

The MsgID plug-in add the unique identifier to processing message and replace it if the message has identifier already. The message created by Outlook Express has the identifier, and all derived messages will have the same identifier if such message wil be sent by list. We don’t know about letter losing in practice, but there is such risk in theory because of possible errors in servers software. So it’s recommended to add MsgID plug-in to mailboxes.

MsgID is distributed with sources in C language. We provide .DLL version of this plugin only.
