15. Is ADR just another utility for spaming? Usually, the spamer sends hundreds of thousands or even millions of letters at once. ADR isn't intended for such mailing. Therefore ADR is not utility for spam. The program is designed for smaller mailing lists (up to 10000..15000 letters) and has the mechanisms to form a personified mailing. So ADR is helpful for the site owners or single programmers to notify their users about new program versions, etc. There are many user categories which send tens of thousands letters quite legally. ADR is the utility for them. |

16. How to hide my IP address during ADR mailing? When mail server receive a letter, it add sender IP address or domain to its headline (kludges). Therefore recipient can see the following lines in letter headline: |

There is only one way to hide your IP address and protect your privacy by using Socks5 proxy-server. Then mail server enters proxy-server address to the letter, but not your address. Also you can use SocksChain program for greater privacy, which allow ADR to work through up to six series proxy-servers. In thas case, only FBI can catch you ;-) The SocksChain program is developed by Ufasoft Company, free trial version is available at company site. |

17. Can a hacker take advantage of internal ADR mail server? ADR allow each user in your organization to work with its mail server. The access from the outside can be also organized through Internet. To prevent criminal access to ADR, specify all possible IP addresses of recipients in "Allowed IPs" field on "Server" tab in "General Settings". For example, the next line:
127.0.0.1, 10.*.*.* allows to connect with ADR only from local computer or from computers with addresses placed in the subnetwork 10.1.1.1..10.255.255.255. The default mask:
*.*.*.* allows any computer to connect with ADR mail server. Therefore it's recommended to change this setting. Also, you can specify username/password for access to internal SMTP server. It is recommended too. |
