There is only one setting in mail program you will have to change – it is address of outcoming mail server (SMTP). Mail program receives mail from mail server works using POP3 protocol and send your messages through server works using SMTP protocol. Don’t change address of incoming mail server (POP3) because you are continue to receive mail through your provider server.
If you have installed ADR on your computer then the new address of mail server is localhost. If you have installed ADR on computer in LAN, e. g. with address 10.1.1.1, then the new address of mail server is 10.1.1.1. For all examples below we’ll consider that you have installed the program on your computer and will use address - 127.0.0.1
Usually, mail program setting present no difficulty and takes a few minutes. It is supposed that your mail program is already configured for working with mail and so in program setting are described only those changes which are necessary for working with ADR. Otherwise, configure the program for working through provider mail server at first and only then execute changes given below.
